“If your brother does wrong, reprove him.”

Luke 17:1-6

Jesus is reminding us that we live in a society that is full of things that cause us to sin. Despite our good intentions to live a holy life, we often fall short of the glory of God. That is why we need to always abide in Jesus because apart from Him, we will go astray. As we are tempted in every way, let us ask the Lord to increase our faith and to strengthen our resolve to avoid committing any sin. Aware of our own shortcomings, let us be forgiving of others who commit sin. They too have their own struggles.
When we learn to forgive, we grow in faith. Jesus tells his disciples to always be on their guard. They need to be mindful of what they do as well as what they say. Jesus cautions us to be aware of our words, actions and attitudes so that we will have a positive and not negative influence on others. As disciples, our task is to bring people to God, not to drive them away. Today you have the potential to be a positive influence or a negative influence! What will be your choice?
