“There are no more distinctions: all are one in Christ Jesus.”

Galatians 3:22-29

Today, St. Paul reminds us of our commitment to the faith by living according to God’s law of love. From our baptism, we are all called to be Christ, clothed in his likeness, and live loving and serving our brothers and sisters. St. Paul also reminds us of who we are before God; we are his children and are not valued for our race or status.

The more we see ourselves as children of God, the more we seek God and depend on him. We learn to live by faith, grow in that trust, and surrender to His will in our lives. It is the good works that we do each day: helping a friend, family member, or colleague, taking the time for prayer, choosing to be patient, calling up to check up on them and many more. These acts show God working in us, drawing us closer to him. Let us be renewed in our commitment to the faith and live to be more like Jesus and live according to God’s will every day.
